There is potential for some substances to be withdrawn from the European
market as a consequence of REACH, either due to regulatory action or commercial
considerations, and has the potential to impact downstream users. As a
downstream user, we strongly share this concern. We recognise that you
yourself may be a downstream user trying to ensure continuity of supply
to mitigate the risks posed to your business.

Pre-registration
and registration
All substances manufactured and/or imported in quantities = 1 ton/year,
will need to be registered under REACH. This includes all substances supplied
on their own or in preparations. All existing substances (with EINECS
numbers) meeting the criteria for "phase-in" substances should
therefore be pre-registered in order to benefit from the transitional
periods provided by pre-registration under REACH.
Rolls-Royce requires confirmation from its supply chain that the risks
associated with REACH are being adequately managed.
