The supplier scorecard is the means by which transactional performance against quality, cost and delivery is captured and then measured by Rolls-Royce. |
Balloon
Drawing |
A balloon drawing is a definition with each characteristic or requirement clearly marked with a unique identifier number which may be circled or boxed for easy visual identification. |

The original Approved Configuration of an item. |
Batch |
A batch consists of a collection of components or number of characteristics, from which a sample is taken and inspected to determine conformance with specification requirements. Such components shall have been produced / processed by the same manufacturing method, on the same machine / plant and essentially at the same time. |
Batch (Delivery) |
A shipment of product supplied to Rolls-Royce is referred to as a 'Batch Delivery'. The batch delivery shall be for one part number, be plant & site specific, be contained in an individual box / container (or set of securely bound boxes), be delivered with its own discrete set of documentation i.e. Release Note, Receipt Label, FAIR (if required) etc |
Batch

The code allocated to identify a group of components for traceability purposes. The batch must be from one cast of material and processed through the manufacturing cycle together. |

Near vision acuity tested with both eyes working together. |
Build
Package |
A group of products that are required to complete a level of build. |
Bundling |
The classification and amalgamation of specific contract / product elements (i.e. service lines) into an overall composite contract (Rolls-Royce Investments & Services Purchasing). |
Buyer |
Buyer, as used within SABRe, refers to the relevant Rolls-Royce (i.e. Business Unit) purchasing agent. |
