Term Definition
Technical Authority The role in an organisation that is accountable for ensuring that the engineering aspects of the part supply are met. e.g. Manufacturing Engineer – Purchasing (ME-P) for Rolls-Royce.
Technical Oversight Design & Development (STEP Process) Technical Oversight Design & Development is an on-site assessment of the suppliers' facilities to measure the acceptability of design and development capability and management arrangements of such suppliers.
Technical Oversight Planning & Control (STEP Process) Technical Oversight Planning & Control is an on-site assessment of the suppliers' facilities to ensure compliance to SABRe requirements and evaluate management of the planning and control processes.
Technical Oversight Quality (STEP Process) Technical Oversight Quality is an on-site assessment of the suppliers' facilities to ensure compliance to SABRe requirements, evaluate control of the manufacturing processes and to ensure product integrity is maintained.
Technical Services Directory (TSD 7019) A directory of worldwide vendors and repair stations authorised by Rolls-Royce (Repair Engineering) to undertake specific / nominated Repair Schemes on selected Rolls-Royce engine types.
Technical Package All the necessary data and instructions needed to manufacture component parts and / or sub-assemblies.
Technical Variance (TV) These cover a variance to the information published in the appropriate Rolls-Royce engine, maintenance or structural repair manual. A Technical Variance defines all the information needed to accomplish the repair including necessary illustrations, consumables, repair parts and instructions.
Tertiary Packaging Tertiary Packaging shall be used to consolidate multiple Batches of Secondary Packaged parts. Tertiary Packaging is always the outermost packaging.
Trade effluent Industrial waste water from processing & cleaning.
Transfer Plan A transfer plan contains all the necessary activities and responsibilities required to carry out the successful re-sourcing of a component, product, process or any combination thereof.
