The documents are held in a secure web enabled system, to protect the Intellectual Property Rights of Rolls-Royce plc data and its product information.

Background information
Prior to the introduction of world wide web-based technology, the issue, control and release of specifications to the Rolls-Royce supplier network, was managed via a paper based distribution system controlled by the Standard Data Records Office in Derby.

However, the introduction of e-Business technology allowed considerable changes to take place regarding the issue, management and distribution of Rolls-Royce specifications and information.

It allowed new issues or updated data to be released to suppliers worldwide, within minutes of completion by Rolls-Royce Business Groups, thereby ensuring the latest issue standard or information could be accessed by suppliers for their use and application.

Manufacturing Laboratories Catalogue – MLC 104
The information listed in the file below details Consumable, Non-Metallic and Proprietary Materials, which have been approved by the Rolls-Royce Laboratories against Rolls-Royce Material Specifications (MSRR) and our Commercial Supply Specifications (CSS). Suppliers who are named against particular products are those technically approved by Rolls-Royce to supply or deliver a specification or standard. It should not be assumed that the named suppliers are also approved for other or similar products. Whilst this information is given in good faith, no warranty or representation is given concerning such information, which must not be taken as establishing any contractual or other commitment binding upon Rolls-Royce plc or any of its subsidiary companies.

The availability of this document enables suppliers to directly access Rolls-Royce Approved Consumable, Non-Metallic and Proprietary Material Specifications, without the need to access company specifications which are password protected.
